5/8"-11 NYLON INSERT LOCK NUTS STEEL ZINC GRADE 2 UNC 25 PCS

These prevailing torque locknuts offer excellent vibration resistance and a wide range of adjustment. The nylon collar prevents liquid seepage and internal corrosion. It is smaller than the bolt diameter and as the bolt enters the collar, the thread form is impressed in the nylon. The resulting compressive forces exert constant friction grip on the bolt and prevent loosening. These nuts may be re-used up to 50 times because the "elastic memory" feature of the nylon causes it to return to its original shape. May be used with grade 2 and grade 5 screws up to 250 deg F. Bright zinc chromate plated.
